A club in Saudi Arabia has made a tempting offer to attract Tottenham’s French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
The 36-year-old Lloris, who has been with the north London team for 11 seasons, has recently been rumored to leave the club due to his poor form and the approaching end of his contract with Tottenham.
“The Times” newspaper of London reported that a club in the Saudi Arabian League has offered Lloris a weekly salary of 100,000 pounds, which is three times the salary he receives from Tottenham.
There is one year left on the contract of the former goalkeeper of the French national team, and it is said that if Tottenham can find a suitable replacement for him, Lloris will leave London for Saudi Arabia in the summer.
After attracting Ronaldo with an annual salary of 200 million euros, the Saudis are now working to recruit other stars of European football, including Sergio Busquets, the captain of the Barcelona team, and even Lionel Messi.
Lloris came to Tottenham from Lyon in 2012 and has worn the number one shirt of this team 47 times in these years.
Despite the failure to win the championship in English football, the French goalkeeper has reached the championship position of the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the runner-up position of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar together with his country’s national team.
